How to Perform the DIY Pool Bucket Test
If your pool water level is dropping, use this simple test to determine if it is standard Tucson pool evaporation or a hidden pool leak.

Turn off your Autofill:
Disable any automatic water levelers.

Set the bucket:
Fill a large bucket with pool water and place it on the first step of your pool.

Mark the levels:

Use a piece of tape to mark the water level inside the bucket, and another piece to mark the pool's water level on the outside of the bucket.

Wait 24 hours:
Run your pool pump normally. After 24 hours, measure the drop.

​The Result:
If the pool water level dropped significantly more than the water level inside the bucket, you have a pool leak and it's time to call Leak Finders to schedule an appointment.
If they dropped the exact same amount, it is just normal Tucson evaporation.
